Ken was a founding Director of Townsville-based architectural practice, Tippett Schrock Architects. He exited that practice in 2010 and now works as a sole practitioner in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.
Although he's been operating for only a short time as a "one man band", an interesting portfolio of work is emerging.
Completed projects include the new offices & workshops for Pacific Marine Group, located in the Townsville Port Commercial precinct, and the Ryle Beach Shack at Forest Beach. A Housing project for people with disabilities, for Cootharinga in North Shore, opened in April 2013 and is the first development in Australia to be awarded with a Platinum rating by Livable Housing Australia.
Most recent projects include a re-build of the Sovereign Tavern tavern in Charters Towers, and Spectators Sports Bar and Garrisons Bistro at the Townsville RSL.
The Durack Tavern Upgrade in Brisbane opened in mid-2017, and was followed by a major upgrade and extension to the Bohle Barn in Townsville in 2018.
In 2012, Ken was recognised in the Creating Inclusive Community Awards for his work in the Design and Accessibility area.
